What do Emergency Response System Companies do?
A supplier of personal emergency response systems (PERS), which are electronic devices that enable patients to receive emergency assistance when needed.
The PERS is one of two different methodologies of notification:
(1) Where the patient summons emergency assistance themselves directly through the device
or
(2) Emergency assistance is summoned through secure activation by the caretaker/guardian, which sends the device location to emergency responders.
