What do Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities do?
Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (CORFs) are non-residential medical facilities that provide outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and restorative services to help patients recover from illnesses, injuries, or disabilities.
These facilities must offer physician services, physical therapy, and social or psychological services under a physician-created plan of care, often covered by Medicare Part B.
They offer flexibility, allowing patients to receive care and return home after each session, thereby helping them regain function and independence.

Comprehensive Treatment Plans: A doctor certifies that skilled rehabilitation is needed and must create and regularly review a treatment plan.
