Oregon State Medicaid Fraud Convictions

The Oregon Health Authority Program Integrity Audit Unit (PIAU) is the agency that administers the state’s Medicaid program.

To ensure existing employees or contractors, and new hires have not been excluded from participation in the Medicaid program, providers participating or applying to participate in the Medicaid program must search the following exclusion lists monthly:

  • Oregon Medicaid Fraud Convictions
  • Health & Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE)
  • General Services Administration (GSA) System for Award Management (SAM)

While the state-sanctioned list has been in effect, there have been few Medicaid fraud convictions since 2016. In the spring of 2021, the Oregon Health Authority added a few provider names to the list for the first time since 2019. It remains unclear when the balance of provider names will be added.

HealthProviders DB imports the Oregon Fraud Convictions monthly, so the database is always up to date. The suspensions are normalized and matched with the Healthcare Providers’ Profile as Exact or Possible matches, greatly simplifying your research.

Excluded individuals or entities, even if they are not on the Oregon Fraud Convictions List, are excluded from participating in the Medicaid program in all categories of service. They are not allowed to receive reimbursement for providing Medicare and Medicaid services in any capacity.

HealthProviders DB is an unparalleled solution to effortlessly and simultaneously search OIG Exclusions, SAM Exclusions, State Exclusion Lists, FDA Debarment, and Clinical Investigators—Disqualification Proceedings—all in one powerful platform!
